Behaviour Management with Challenging Students (Primary)

 A One-Day Seminar for Primary schools  with Professor Bill Rogers, Ph.D (formerly, Griffith University, Queensland, Australia)

Primary teachers are invited to attend this one-day seminar which is being facilitated by Professor Bill Rogers, internationally renowned educational consultant.

Professor Rogers, a teacher by profession, lectures widely on discipline and behaviour management issues; classroom management; stress and teaching; colleague support; developing peer support programmes for teachers and developing community-oriented policies for behaviour management, based on whole-school approaches.

The seminar will address areas such as: 

  • The reality and extent of "behaviour disorders" as a phenomenon in mainstream schools (with special reference to ADD spectrum behaviours)
  • Supporting teachers who have such pupil behaviour in their classes
  • Working with the whole class
  • Developing early intervention plans (including uses of time-out)
  • Developing individual behaviour management plans on a whole-school base
  • Working with parents of pupils with behaviour disorders
  • Managing anger.

Places will be allocated on an initial basis of  two per school on a first come first served basis. Multiple applications from schools will be accepted and placed on a waiting list. It is important to number the priority application forms clearly as 1 and 2. Any additional places will be allocated randomly. Please note that a separate application form must be completed for each teacher.
